What will we be learning?

Welcome to Family Bible Conference 2026!

We are delighted to spend a week of the summer together with you at Bonclarken.

This year’s conference theme is Union with Christ.

This summer, we hope that God will help us to worship him better in spirit and in truth. And we will exercise both of these things as we gather into his presence, morning and evening, to pray his Word and to praise him with the Word and to hear his Word preached.

On behalf of the planning team, I invite you to enter his gates with thanksgiving and to come into his courts with praise.

Morning Speaker

REV. MATT LUCAS

Originally from Charleston, SC, Matt graduated from the University of Missouri with a B.A. degree in 1995. After college, Matt worked as a Campus Intern for Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at Clemson University where he met his wife, Sallye. They moved to St. Louis, MO in 1997 to attended Covenant Theological Seminary, graduating in 2001 with a Master of Divinity degree. He served eight years as an Associate Pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Columbia, SC – six of those years he was the RUF Campus Minister at the University of South Carolina. In 2009, Matt became the senior pastor of Reformation Presbyterian Church in Hendersonville, NC. Matt and Sallye live in Saluda, NC and are blessed to have four grown children. Matt loves hiking, reading, building projects, and spending time with family and friends. He is currently working on a Doctor of Ministry degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte.

Evening Speaker

REV. RYAN MOWEN

Ryan has served at Church of the Atonement in Silver Spring, MD since January 2020. Before Atonement, Ryan served as an Associate Pastor and Interim lead pastor (twice). Ryan’s sense of call to ministry came in high school. Over the years, God refined and confirmed this calling for pastoral ministry. In preaching, Ryan loves to highlight the hope and help the gospel brings us in every passage of scripture. He loves to discover books by “old dead guys” that contain timeless gospel reminders that can encourage us today. Ryan also has deep appreciation for good coffee (light and medium roasts), as well as spending time outdoors, cooking, playing/listening to broad genres of music, and travel with his family. Ryan is married to his 4th grade crush, Lauren, and they have two sons Elliott and Lawrence.

Ryan received his B.A. in Biblical Studies from Liberty University in 2009, and his M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary (Washington DC) in 2014.

All conference registrations will go through Bonclarken.

Due to increasing demand and the available facilities, we have had to set a cap on how many infants and children can be registered. To this end, registration for the nursery and children’s program will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. Please don’t wait!
